Turkey's First Sustainable Green Project VARYAP Meridian has started for pre-sale to its private customers

Varyap is building a new financial district on one of Ataşehir's last biggest lands on the Anatolian Side with 1500 houses, a 5 star hotel, a business center, numerous commercial and social areas. All buildings will be constructed following LEED criteria, which is a third-party certification program created by the U.S. Green Building Council as an internationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings. With the yield sharing model performed with Housing Development Administration (TOKİ) and Real Estate Investment Company (GYO), 90 percent of Turkey's first ecological combined Project will be established on a total of 107 thousand m2. It will be consisting of green land and only 10 thousand m2 will be buildings. The Project includes 1500 housing areas and a business center with 50 thousand m2 of rental area and a 5 star hotel which will be administrated by an international brand. Within the Project there will be very different housing options; from 40 m2 studios to penthouse apartments.

The architecture group for the Project, chosen after a competition, is UK-based RMJM, whose New York office is leading the design. RMJM is one of the world's most famous architecture companies and current and completed projects include Gazprom's Okhta Center in St. Petersburg, Palm Jebel Ali and Palm Jumeirah Islands in Dubai and Olympic Green Convention Center in Beijing. The project's engineering advisor is international firm Buro Happold, renowned for its work on tall buildings.

It will be built in accordance with the Sustainable housing concept

VARYAP is raising the standards higher in time by presenting the 'total sustainability' concept which is approved internationally in the real estate development sector. The concept requires a design and practice harmony in conformity with the environment and habitat. With precautions taken during the designing stage, eco material selections and waste management and saving 40% of energy and water with high comfort will provide minimum consumption costs for the Project residents.

The opportunities provided by the applied improver systems, technology and LEED criteria will let the residents have lower fees and expenses.

The construction of Europe's biggest Justice Palace

The construction of Turkey's biggest Justice Palace built by the Ministry of Public Works is still continuing. The Justice Palace on European side is built on a 343 thousand m2 construction area in Çağlayan and is planned to be opened in 2010.

Shopping centers in Trabzon and Pendik, Housing Project in Bodrum, Thermal Hotel in Afyon

VARYAP, which successfully completed the two of Turke's biggest housing projects in 2008 Uphill Court Ataşehir and Uphill Court Bahçeşehir, is resuming its investments on the shopping center field. It is predicted that the 2008 Mall Project which in Trabzon will be completed this year. The Mall Project which VARYAP plans to build on its own land in Pendik will start in 2010.

In addition to the Afyon Thermal Hotel, which is aimed to start construction in 2010, two housing Projects in Bodrum Yalıkavak and Bodrum Tilkicik Bay will be built with a VARYAP guarantee.
